“Porto del Museo” is the definitive gateway of Sejong City―an entrepreneurial enterprise and cultural interventionism in a sustainable development. Unleashing all the organizational experimentations as well as the aspiration and the empowerment of the urban landscape and natural environment, “Porto del Museo” explores and discovers the next prosperity potentials of our civilization with provisions of diverse pedagogies and eventful programmatic series. “Porto del Museo” is a “Civic Caesura: Forum,” which resonates an open public space consisted with solely pleasant features of the urban life. “Porto del Museo”―attributed to the historical precedence and labyrinth of the existing condition―prevails and prolongs to circumstances yet to come.

“Porto del Museo” serves to embrace all cherishable reminiscence, a “collective memory,” of all people. It is built, not only for pleasure, but for the purpose of “self-discipline” and “opened discussion” with hopes to balance the social and cultural aspects of life. Thus, the accumulation of intellectual informations and historical documentations, existing in the present “Porto del Museo,” entitles the sanction of envision as people of all ranges venture through different programs of the Museums.

Human_Port

“Porto del Museo” is a “cultural forum” in-between city and nature. Layered with numerous programmatic events and cultural recreation along the Grand Concourse, “Porto del Museo” always fulfills the endeavor for entrepreneurial activities. While the societal-communal awareness constantly grows, the Museums develop into an iconic metropolis, consisted with the production and consumption of exclusive cultures.

Nature_Port

“Porto del Museo” symbolizes a bridge with desires to unify both city and nature. Located on the intersecting moment between the Sejong City and the ecological environments (the Central Park, Geum River, Che Creek, and the Waterfront), the municipal dimensionality of Sejong City unfolds to its most natural state. The radiant space, botanic garden, and the observatory tower, all endemic aspects of the ecological landscape and National History Museum, provides a substantial flourishing life.
