The Chungnam library, which is located at the boundary between city and nature, is easily accessible by walkers and bicycles for residents of the new city. We have a parking lot that accommodates 300 vehicles. Therefore, Family members can use the library comfortably and everyone can easily access and use the facilities. The green landscape flows through Yongbongsan to Hongye Park and Yehyang Park. The harmony of the library with the surrounding park was reflected in the architectural design. There is no border with the park, so it is easily accessible from any direction. Ecological ponds around The birch grove between Jamiwon and the library matches well with the library building and Provides visibility to view the outside from inside the library. The location of the library accommodates the axes of all cities as the center of the radial city. By accepting the order of the city and establishing a relationship with the surrounding area, it has created a warm and energetic cultural space where people, nature and culture coexist. Ecological playgrounds and children 's hydroponics facilities, which have been developed in consideration of the characteristics of surrounding areas lacking cultural facilities infrastructure, are being utilized as new local cultures and community spaces to differentiate from existing libraries. Everyone in the area came to use the outdoor space to enjoy various cultures. The bridge connecting the archives space and the cultural education space separated from each other is an excellent space for outdoor activities as well as connecting the library building with the building. Museums, art galleries, and performance centers will be constructed on the site of the cultural facilities including the library, and it was constructed considering the connectivity with the surrounding facilities and convenience. In short, the Chungnam Library is a typical landmark building in the area where the city, nature and culture are blended together.

​Nujung, a library construction concept, applied the architectural concept of Korean traditional architectural styles, pavilion and belvedere. From the ancestors' space, 'Nujung', it contained the role of aesthetics for academic and cultural fostering, lecture function for education, and local community function. Therefore, the Chungnam library is divided into two spaces in terms of function and movement. One is the main building, which is the information resource space, and the other is the cultural education building for workshops, education and cultural performances. The two buildings reflected library users' efficiency of functioning through complementary function and exclusive space utilization. The two buildings have completed architectural unity and spatial connectivity through the use of the same exterior finish and through the connecting aisle. Although the entire interior space of the library is connected as a single space, space is utilized for each use purpose. For example, a activity space for infants and a activity space for children were placed adjacent to each other, and at the same time, they were connected by a natural copper line. The book cafe on the second floor is designed as a space that connects the library space and the space can be viewed as a whole. A typical feature of the interior architecture is a tower-type bookshelf with a length of 10m. Located in the center of the library building, it combines structural stability and aesthetic space for vertical loads. The tower type shelf designed to be accessible for librarians and users. In the entrance area of the library, a planting and flooring pattern that guides the flow of city axes to Hongye Park is applied, and a parking lot is distributed on the entire surface of the ground, and a rich vegetation is planned to function as a buffer zone to block noise from the street. In the southern space, a cascade linked with the library was planned, so that the expansion of the space and the sequential sequence could be felt.
