ZigZag : Hill of Wisdom

Today's local public library should be a complex cultural space containing local culture and welfare for the local community, not just a space for knowledge transfer between generations.

Our proposal for Jinju Eastern Public library is not a single complex building composed of knowledge culture and welfare programs, but a complex village where these are harmonized with nature. We design a pathway, as an intermediary space connecting the city and the park, to connect to the steeply sloped site. We imagine a garden of wisdom where continuously get along with various programs for knowledge culture, welfare, rest and leisure culture, etc. It will be a place where healing through walking, knowledge sharing, and cultural experiences become everyday wisdom.
